Daniel graduated from Rutgers University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. In 1989, he earned a Juris Doctor with special honors, also from Rutgers University. Dan would go on to serve on active duty in the Navy from 1989-1993, concluding his final tour as Counsel to Commanding Officer USS Constellation (CV64).
After leaving active duty, Dan practiced international trade with Donohue & Donohue of New York and Philadelphia, and later received an appointment as Trial Attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee.
Since 2008, Daniel has served as the Managing Partner of Ciardi Ciardi & Astin's Wilmington office, where he engages primarily in the practice of commercial law, business restructurings, and bankruptcy liquidations.
Dan is active in his community as a member of the Board of Directors at the Mary Campbell Center, serving on the Executive and Management Committees. He is also a member of the Committee of the St. Patrick's Society.
He holds a Advanced Mediation Certification and is a member of the International Business Law Consortium.
